Well, the Mitchell Report comes out today (12/13), indicting hordes of baseball stars of being on the “juice” i.e. steroids. For die-hard sports fans, this is big news. But does the rest of America really care? It’s no secret that TV ratings have been continuously slipping for all four major sports (if you consider hockey a major sport). You’ll find all kinds of theories out there explaining this decline: 24-hour sports saturating the market, overexpansion, people’s disenchantment for today’s pro athlete, long regular seasons, the New York Yankees. Personally, I love sports, but I do find myself watching less and less on TV. How about you and why?
